JOB DESCRIPTION

Robin Kelly for Senate is searching for a Deputy Finance Director for the 2026 election cycle to help grow and lead Congresswoman Kelly’s fundraising program. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, strong communicator, and team player. This position is based in Chicago and the employee will be expected to regularly staff the Congresswoman in-person and virtually.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the campaign’s call time program and team-wide systems for prospecting, providing strategic guidance as the team grows a robust program of outreach

  • Lead the campaign’s in-state fundraising program, working with the in-state consultant to set goals and supplement prospecting and event build with staff help

  • Staff the candidate at in-state fundraising events as needed

  • Manage the call time manager and finance assistant

  • Oversee other projects and systems such as the campaign’s acknowledgements program, compliance and database maintenance, etc.

  • Assist the finance director as needed with national fundraising trips

  • Other duties as assigned, which may grow over the course of the cycle depending on the employee and campaign’s needs and demonstrated strengths.

Qualifications:

  • At least two cycles/3 years of experience in political campaign fundraising, including as an intern

  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic who is willing to work weekends and evenings in a fast-paced campaign environment

  • Excellent computer skills, especially Excel and Google Spreadsheets

  • Familiarity with NGP, ActBlue, and call time software preferred but not required

Salary: $7,500-$9,000 per month based on experience and qualifications
