Position Summary:

  • The Democratic National Committee (DNC) Tech Team is hiring multiple Senior Regional IT/Cyber Desk Associates to provide support to our DNC and State Party staff! We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and can provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidates will be front line support for our end users across the nation. Dedicated to specific regions, the selected individuals will be an extension of the Coordinated IT Director and DNC IT Director in providing optimal support and assistance to DNC and State Party employees. Frequent travel will be required for this role to support various locations in a given region based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1-2 support to users on a variety of IT/Security issues; monitor and close incoming tickets according to defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and events from various security tools and systems.
  • Investigate and assess potential security incidents to determine their severity and impact.
  • Escalate critical security and help desk incidents to the appropriate Tier 3 personnel
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may also frequently be required to communicate using the telephone, email, and in person with stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Qualifications:

  • 1 Year of Experience
  • Dedication to customer service with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Prior experience as Help Desk Associate or Help Desk Technician
  • Basic knowledge of networking such as TCP/IP, routing and switching;
  • Experience with both computer and mobile device enterprise management systems such as Google Workspace and JAMF;
  • Knowledge of Zendesk ticketing system
  • Knowledge of macOS, iOS, and chromeOS

This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.

Travel: The Senior Regional IT/Cyber Desk Associate position will require travel, which could be up to 25% of the time.


Salary: The starting salary for the Senior Regional IT/Cyber Desk Associate position is $80,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024. This is an exempt position.
