Job Description

The Field and Organizing Director is responsible for developing and implementing field and grassroots organizing programs to support the campaign's goal of passing this constitutional amendment. The F&O Director will oversee and coordinate a team of organizers, volunteers, and supporters to mobilize communities, raise awareness, and foster public support for the campaign. The Field and Organizing Director reports to the Deputy Campaign Director. Candidates should have experience leading successful organizing campaigns for statewide issue advocacy or ballot campaigns.
**Key Responsibilities**
_Strategic Field and Organizing Planning:_ Develop plans to achieve field and organizing objectives, including setting goals, timelines, and milestones.
_Grassroots Mobilization:_ Develop and implement effective mobilization strategies to engage community members, activists, and volunteers. Organize and lead community events, rallies, town hall meetings, and other public gatherings to raise awareness about the campaign's mission. Build relationships with partner organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders to maximize collective impact. Use volunteer networks
_Coalition Management:_ Build strong relationships with partner organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders. Collaborate with coalition members to develop joint strategies, coordinate actions, and leverage collective resources. Facilitate regular communication and coordination among coalition members.
_Team Management: _Hire, train, and develop a team of 3-4 (plus loaned-out staff) to execute field and organizing goals. Create a culture of accountability and trust to achieve campaign goals. Work to integrate the F&O team with the existing organizing infrastructure of the coalition partners.
_Volunteer Management:_ Recruit, train, and manage a network of volunteers to support campaign activities. Provide ongoing support, guidance, and motivation to volunteers, ensuring they can effectively fulfill their roles. Maintain regular communication channels with volunteers, keeping them informed and engaged in the campaign's progress.
_Data Analysis and Reporting:_ Collect, analyze, and evaluate data related to organizing efforts and volunteer engagement. Prepare weekly reports detailing the impact of organizing activities, including progress achieved, challenges faced, and recommendations for improvement. Utilize data to inform future decision-making and optimize campaign strategies.
- Proven experience in successful grassroots organizing and campaign management, focusing on issue advocacy or political campaigns. Statewide or national experience is strongly preferred.
- Commitment to the reproductive rights and justice movement is required. An understanding of this movement and experience in it is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Colorado’s political landscape and experience working on ballot campaigns or with local organizations within Colorado is an asset.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing a diverse team of organizers and volunteers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking, campaign messaging, and report writing.
- Proficient in utilizing organizing and communication software, including CRM systems, VAN, digital organizing tools, and social media platforms.
- Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing campaign needs.

_Additional Requirements_
This is a full-time position based in Colorado and is remote within the state. Must have reliable, personal transportation and be able to travel around Colorado up to ten days a month as needed. Must be able to hold this position through December 31st, 2024.
