The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) is looking for a summer 2026 intern with a passion for data & analytics and fairness in the workplace to support our Data & Analytics team.

Internship Description

The Data and Analytics Department is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated undergraduate or graduate student who can commit to a minimum of 30 hours a week with a maximum of 35 hours per week. The intern will assist with data collection and data processing. The intern will perform data entry, data collection and analysis, and research.

Applicants should have experience using Excel, SQL, other data systems tools and familiarity with database concepts. The schedule is flexible and can be adjusted to accommodate an academic schedule.

This is a paid internship compensated at a rate of $18.00 per hour. The internship will be in-person in our Washington, D.C. office.
