What You Will Do
The Data Director reports to the Executive Director of the Arizona Democratic Party. This person will manage the day-to-day voter file management of the state party, county and legislative districts, and Democratic campaigns across the state. This role is solely responsible for administering the statewide voter file database for the Party.

Candidates should apply no later than October 31. Candidates will conduct an initial screening call, a data analysis exercise, and an interview with ADP staff.
Salary and Location
The pay for this role starts at $80,000. This is an exempt position. Office hours are 9:00 to 6:00 with extended hours required based on operational needs. This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an in-person job with occasional work from home days.
Core Responsibilities
- Administer Arizona's VAN VoteBuilder database
- Act as the Voter File Manager for all state campaigns and committees
- Provide training, documentation, office hours, and helpdesk support to Arizona VAN users
- Meet with local parties and caucuses to discuss their common data needs and find workable solutions
- Running election buddy at state committee meetings, vacancy elections, etc.
- Building relationships with the DNC, DDX, other states, and additional key stakeholders and vendors to ensure Arizona is a leader in the use and management of data.
- Implement and manage systems for data sharing and access within VAN for various organization types
- Collaborate across departments to design and build reports that track the state programming
- Develop, maintain, and implement data standards to ensure accurate tracking and analysis of state party programming
- Coordinating with partners to share voter contact data, proactively support planning direct voter contact, and communicate with stakeholders
- Supervise ADP Data Staff, ensuring staff provides support to Arizona Democratic campaigns

- Are organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years working directly with state party voter files, as a user and/or administrator
- Familiarity with advanced spreadsheet formulas and conditional formatting
- Ability to communicate technical information to a wide audience in a clear, succinct manner
- At least 1 cycle of prior experience as data staff on a campaign or at a state party
- Proficient at working with data in SQL, preferably in Phoenix or BigQuery
- Familiarity with Google Looker Studio, QGIS, Tableau or other data visualization tools
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Work extended hours, including nights and weekends as needed
- Be a Democrat and have demonstrated political beliefs that fit with the Democratic Party’s mission
