BattleAxe Digital is seeking a summer intern to support our Special Projects and Executive teams across a range of research, tech, and growth-focused initiatives. This internship is designed for graduating college seniors and early-career professionals interested in gaining hands-on experience inside a fast-paced progressive media, communications, and strategy environment. The role will provide exposure to business development, political and advocacy communications, research, client support, and day-to-day agency operations. The intern will support a variety of ongoing internal initiatives, including work related to digital audience research and social media trend analysis projects, as well as broader special projects and business development efforts as directed by the Executive Manager. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, curious, and excited to contribute to multiple projects at once.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with special projects across the agency, including research, competitive analysis, and strategic support
  • Support internal digital research and social media trend analysis initiatives
  • Conduct background research on clients, industries, campaigns, organizations, and media trends
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, prospect research, and tracking deliverables
  • Provide administrative and organizational support for executive leadership and the Executive Manager
  • Assist with office coordination and day-to-day operational tasks as needed
  • Support project management and coordination across multiple ongoing work-streams
  • Take on additional special projects and operational support tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current college senior, recent graduate, or similarly early-career applicant
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-moving environment
  • Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Interest in media, communications, politics, advocacy, business strategy, or agency operations

Logistics

  • Summer 2026 internship
  • In-person role based in Washington, DC
  • Interns are expected to work from the DC office approximately 3–4 days per week, depending on availability and scheduling
  • Flexible scheduling available for students
  • Paid internship (details shared during interview process)
