We are hiring a Senior Digital Strategist to lead digital campaign strategy and execution across a portfolio of client accounts. In this role, you will craft content, oversee digital calendars, optimize campaign performance using your technical expertise, and help guide the day-to-day execution of programs that move audiences to action. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring team members and supporting the overall quality of the team’s work. Experience, Skills, & Competency Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in digital marketing, content strategy, or digital fundraising, ideally across a mix of political, advocacy, nonprofit, or corporate clients.
  • Proven success managing digital campaigns that drive engagement and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with an eye for persuasive, clear, and brand-aligned content.
  • Proficiency with key digital platforms (ActBlue, Mailchimp, EveryAction, Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Experience managing client relationships and working directly with stakeholders to shape strategy and communicate results.
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting peers; formal management experience is a plus but not required.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate performance metrics into actionable insights.
  • Highly collaborative team player who communicates clearly and works well across functions.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

Client Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Serve as lead strategist across assigned client accounts, owning the strategy, execution, and performance of digital fundraising, digital advertising, social media, and direct-response campaigns.
  • Develop content calendars and digital campaign plans that align with audience insights and client goals; Write, edit, and review high-quality content—emails, landing pages, paid ads, and social copy—that embodies each client’s voice.
  • Code, target, test, and launch mass communications using intermediate-to-advanced HTML, CSS, SQL, and multiple CRMs consistently with no mistakes; troubleshoot issues across the team as needed
  • Create testing ideas and methodologies, pull and analyze data, and present results—turning metrics into clear strategic guidance for clients and internal teams.
  • Provide thought partnership and proactive recommendations to clients, anticipating needs and offering strategic insight.

Team Mentorship & Internal Leadership

  • Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior strategists on your accounts; review work, offer feedback, and model best-in-class digital practice.
  • Lead brainstorms and strategy sessions; help shape content direction, audience segmentation plans, and performance testing ideas.
  • Support new staff onboarding or peer training sessions on tools, processes, and digital best practices.
  • Ensure deliverables are meeting quality standards, deadlines, and client expectations.

Innovation & Collaboration

  • Stay current with digital trends, content innovations, and marketing techniques; bring new ideas to the team and to client strategies.
  • Partner with Revenue and Product teams to align messaging, visuals, and goals across channels.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements, systems enhancements, and documentation of fundraising and communications best practices.
