Summary:

The Regional Organizer will lead the implementation of the strategy, tactics and goals of the 2026 Coordinated Campaign within a targeted region. In partnership with the California Democratic Party, the Regional Organizer will manage day-to-day organizing operations and build a scalable volunteer-driven program to turn out voters and win targeted seats. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and inspire a diverse, motivated team. The Regional Organizer will be a member of the 2026 CADEM Coordinated Campaign and report to the Coordinated Campaign Director.

We are seeking two Regional Organizers. These positions will be through November 30, 2026, and will be located in the Central Valley and Riverside or Orange County.

Essential Job Functions (including, but not limited to):

  • Develop, implement and oversee the comprehensive regional field plan and direct voter contact program, under the direction of the Coordinated Campaign Director and in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee and execute voter registration, canvassing, phone and text banks, relational organizing, and visibility events.
  • Track, report and analyze field metrics to ensure data accuracy and program effectiveness.
  • Train and manage a team, including organizing regular meetings and events and setting team goals.
  • Support the development of voter contact scripts, messaging, and training materials.
  • Represent the 2026 CADEM Coordinated Campaign and endorsed candidates in coalition spaces and community events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local Democratic clubs, labor groups, community-based organizations, elected officials, and other key stakeholders.
  • Create a positive and inclusive team culture with clear performance expectations and development opportunities.
  • Maintain centralized calendars, tracking sheets, and reporting dashboards.
  • Ability to work weekends and evenings as necessary.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Minimum of 2 cycles of experience in political organizing, field management, and/or electoral campaigns.
  • Proven track record of building and hitting voter contact goals.
  • Strong communication, writing, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience managing and training a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities, while maintaining an inclusive and motivated team culture.
  • Familiarity with California’s political and community landscape strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (especially Spanish) is highly desirable but not required.
  • Experience with PDI, Mobilize, Google Suite, and social media tools.
