Topline:
COURIER seeks a Multimedia Marketing Associate (YouTube, podcasts) to join its national division. This person will support audience growth of its national YouTube channel and podcast products including How Is This Better? with Akilah Hughes (with more exciting shows in development). This is a great opportunity for a rising junior content marketer to join a rapidly growing media company and help grow COURIER’s YouTube and podcast reach.
Responsibilities:
- Campaign & Launch Strategies
- Assist in the design, execution, and performance tracking of launch campaigns for new series and support overall channel growth, with a specific emphasis on YouTube
- Submit promotional requests to platform partners
- Report on strategies that worked to grow subscribers and views/downloads, those that did not, and adjust future campaigns accordingly
- Audience Engagement & Growth
- Implement growth strategies for YouTube
- Regularly track YouTube video views and podcast downloads as well as subscriber growth across platforms (YouTube, Apple Podcasts,and Spotify)
- Suggest and execute strategies to grow YouTube subscribers and followers across platforms
- Write and edit copy optimized for each platform and for search
- Assist with cross-promo outreach to aligned creators and platforms
- Pitch hosts for appearances on other podcasts, videos, or other media
- Monitor analytics and adjust tactics based on performance
- Social Media
- Assist with content creation and publishing on show-specific social media properties including, but not limited to, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Spotify Clips
- Track the growth of show-specific social media properties
The ideal candidate will have some of the following:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- Experience with YouTube “growth-hacking” strategies
- Experience launching and growing podcasts
- Well versed in content marketing strategies
- SEO experience
- Contacts with YouTube, Apple podcasts and other content platforms preferred
- General contacts across the video/podcast/media landscape preferred
- Able to self-direct, communicate clearly, and hit deadlines
- Bonus if you’ve got video editing skills (Descript, CapCut, Canva, Premiere)
