The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U. S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.
Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.
Position Summary: The Digital Fundraising Strategist is part of the National Grassroots Fundraising Team. The Digital Fundraising Strategist is responsible for the writing, coding, and sending of supporter emails and text messages, building and maintaining petition and donation pages, monitoring daily performance of emails, and executing list acquisition. This position will assist the team in developing strategic email and SMS fundraising campaigns for the DCCC. Applicants should be creative, hardworking, and passionate about digital fundraising for Democratic campaigns. Occasionally, rapid response and weekend work will be required outside of normal business hours.
This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
- One cycle of digital fundraising experience at any Democratic committee, PAC, or firm required;
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS – any other coding knowledge is a major benefit;
- Strong writing skills and the ability to complete digital fundraising copy quickly in an ever-changing news cycle;
- Familiarity with Acoustic IBM Silverpop is preferred, but not required;
- Knowledge of any email CMS or CRM is required (ActionKit, NGP, ActionNetwork, etc.);
- Familiarity with broadcast and P2P SMS CMSs or CRMs;
