SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT

Location: Washington, DC or Remote
Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000 annually, opportunity for commission based on generated revenue
Bonus Range (even-numbered years only): $40,000 - $125,000

Job Description
Senior Vice Presidents set strategy, manage projects, and manage account team staff. This is a client-facing role that has broad interaction with leaders in the progressive campaign community, campaign managers, and candidates. Responsibilities include:
Strategy
Develop campaign strategies for candidates and allied organizations
Advise clients on campaign targeting, research and testing approaches, resource allocation, program evaluation, and other tactical considerations
Recommend and create solutions, new programs, and strategic approaches that help clients achieve their goals
Work as a strategic partner with clients, advising on research and campaign plans
Client Relations
Manage client relations from planning to execution of mail programs
Serve as primary client lead and project manager
Collaborate with allied political consultants, researchers, analysts, and others to help clients design and execute programs
Internal Management
Oversee the development and management of mail plans, budgets, timelines, invoicing and payment
Manage, train, and hire account team staff
Run the creative and production process
Concept and draft mail pieces, digital products, and mail plans, in collaboration with our creative team
Work closely with principal in marketing prospective new clients and organizational outreach
Depending on staffing levels, perform all account team related tasks
Desired Qualifications
Strategy
Four to five (or more) cycles of campaign or other political project management and staff management experience (e.g. campaign management, directing field program or program direction at a progressive organization)
Budget development and oversight experience on a campaign or political project
Experience with political targeting; proficient with common voter file interfaces (VAN, Catalist, etc.)
Working knowledge of, and experience with, political communication best practices and theory, and campaign tactic testing and program evaluation approaches
Client Relations
Passion and commitment to electing Democrats and making progressive change
Internal Management
Experience managing, training, hiring, and motivating staff in person or remotely, both empathetically and fairly
Excellent attention to detail and project management skills
Ability to communicate effectively across different mediums, both internally within a team setting and externally with clients and other stakeholders
Strong proactive, problem-solving skills
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects on a short timeline
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Proficient in MS Office and the Google Suite, particularly MS Excel and Google Sheets
Willingness to work campaign-style hours as necessary
Additional Qualifications (not required)
Fluency in spoken or written Spanish
Experience building relationships of trust with communities of color
Reputation as a reliable and trusted team member within the progressive community
