The Democratic National Committee is seeking a Operations Senior Manager to support our ongoing mission of empowering Democrats up and down the ballot. The Operations Senior Manager is an administrative and programmatic position that will coordinate across multiple departments, including Operations, Accounting, Human Resources and IT to maintain and support operational processes. The Operations Manager leads operational projects, oversees processes and systems to ensure that the DNC is an essential contributor to maintaining an effective infrastructure. Critical for success is an interest in the mission of the DNC, strong sense of personal initiative, respect for the sensitivity and confidentiality of information, and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a high stakes environment.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Collaborate with Technology, HR, Legal, Accounting and DEI to assist and ensure the timely execution of operations processes
  • Coordinates projects with the Operations Department, the Coordinated Campaign, and external stakeholders
  • Support the procurement of services, supplies and materials necessary for operations
  • Assist with the creation, promotion and management of DNC operations-related campaign systems, resources and training
  • Support the offboarding systems for DNC and coordinated program staff
  • Assist in the process of management of state office shutdown
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC’s mission

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Operates as a team player with the mindset that it is important to offer help to team members on pressing priority projects.
  • Flexibility and recognition that winning campaigns often means working outside of traditional office hours.
  • Works well under pressure
  • You have at least one cycle of presidential or statewide campaign operations experience
  • You have 3-4 years of work experience in operations, HR, or a related field
  • You have strong organizational skills, communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and passion for the work.
  • Comfortable working across multiple software platforms (Monday.com and Quickbase experience preferred)
  • Based in or willing to move to Washington, DC (preferred)
The Operations Senior Manager position will require travel, which could be up to 10% of the time.
The starting salary for the Operations Senior Manager position is $85,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
