The Democratic Party of Georgia (DPG) is seeking a Digital Intern to join our team. This role is perfect for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in political digital strategy, with a focus on social media management, market research, and graphic design. You’ll work closely with our Digital Director to help amplify our message, grow our online presence, and engage voters across the state.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing weekly content for DPG’s social media platforms.
  • Create engaging graphics, photos, and short-form video content tailored to digital platforms.
  • Conduct social media research and trend monitoring to help inform content strategy.
  • Track digital performance and assist with reporting on analytics.
  • Support with rapid response content to breaking news and political developments.
  • Collaborate with departments (Digital, Communications, Organizing, Voter Protection, Finance, and Political) to turn their priorities into strong digital content.
  • Monitoring phones and voicemails as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong interest in digital strategy, politics, and communications.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), YouTube, and Bluesky.
  • Basic design skills and proficiency with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively, and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience with student groups, campaigns, or advocacy organizations is a plus, but not required.

Internship Details:

  • This is a paid internship.
  • Position is based in Atlanta, Georgia; hybrid arrangements possible.
  • Must be available to work 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility around evenings and weekends during peak campaign moments.
