Job Description

The Democratic Party of Virginia is seeking talented Operations Associate candidates to support

democratic initiatives and infrastructure across the state. We are looking for hardworking

individuals who are committed to electing Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

This position will report to the Deputy Operations Director and is based in Richmond, Virginia.

Responsibilities:

● Work with the Operations Deputy Director and Director to manage and report revenue

and expenses;

● Manage procurement and compliance workflows;

● Support in people operations including onboarding, payroll, and offboarding;

● Manage procurement and logistics for office expenses and events;

● Support in Federal and State financial reporting;

● Track expenses and income;

● Support the team manage accounts and system access;

● Address operational issues and needs from staff in a timely manner;

● Perform other duties as needed.

● Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

● Highly organized with a strong attention to detail;

● Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and

competing priorities simultaneously under strict deadlines;

● Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced and non-traditional work environment;

● Excellent relational skills, friendly, diplomatic, patient disposition;

● Self-driven and team-oriented;

● Proficient in Excel, Google Suite;

● Access to a smartphone and laptop, and comfortable with technology;

● Access to a vehicle, as well as a valid driver’s license;

● Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends closer to the

election;
