Job Summary

Elias Law Group LLP is a mission driven law firm, dedicated to helping Democrats win, citizens vote, and progressives make change, with offices in Washington, D.C. and Seattle, Washington. We are currently seeking a highly organized, proactive, and professional Executive Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief People Officer, as well as other senior members of the team in our Washington, D.C. office.

  • Salary range is $31.25 - $38.46 per hour depending on qualifications

Essential Job Functions

  • Proactively maintain overview of each principal’s workflow and task list; anticipate next steps and implement follow-up procedures to ensure each task is appropriately tracked and carried through to completion.
  • Support and track executive-level projects and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring timely completion of action items.
  • Act as a point of contact between the executives and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Provide occasional event planning support for team retreats or leadership meetings.
  • Prepare and process accurate and timely invoices and expense reports in compliance with company policies.
  • Support the drafting, editing, formatting, proofing, and preparation of materials, including emails, letters, presentation decks, meeting agendas, memos, budgets, etc.
  • Maintain digital filing systems and organization of key documents.
  • Schedule internal and external meetings, ensuring appropriate time allocation and prioritization.
  • Prepare meeting materials, presentations, and briefings as needed.
  • Attend some meetings, serving as note-taker and task-organizer.
  • Manage all matters with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion
  • Perform general office duties/assistance, as needed
  • Additional tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree required
  • 2-3+ years within a fast-paced administrative role
  • Political, campaign, or voting rights and/or scheduling experience is preferred but not required
  • Excellent writing ability
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • Tech-savvy and detail-oriented
  • Able to work quickly, autonomously, and within deadlines
  • Organized self-starter with a great work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Canva, Adobe, and Airtable is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Position will operate on a hybrid schedule in a professional office environment and is expected to work in office at least three (3) days a week (Tues - Thursday). The ability to work additional hours beyond the normal schedule may be required, especially around relevant election dates or filing periods. Some infrequent travel is required.

  • Position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

  • Position requires that the employee be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

Physical Demands

  • This position is primarily a sedentary position. However, some duties and responsibilities may require the employee to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, occasionally move about to access office equipment, file cabinets, etc.

  • May require employee to carry or lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
