Document Scanning/Imaging Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
The Denver office of Kutak Rock is seeking a document scanning/imaging specialist to join its office services team. The document scanning/imaging specialist will be responsible for scanning physical documents and producing digital copies for access by the attorneys and legal support teams, through the firm’s document management system. This individual will also perform other tasks within office services, including copy, scan and print requests. This is a mid-level position with the ability to acquire new skills and gain understanding of legal services support at a law firm.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) in-office position, located in the firm’s downtown Denver office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sort and prepare documents for imaging; correctly scan, inspect, and index those images
Perform quality control to ensure all images are readable and oriented properly
Utilize document naming conventions to properly profile documents within the document management system
Assist with other tasks as assigned or necessary within office services

General knowledge of standard office equipment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel
Familiarity with PDF, KOFAX, TIFF, and JPG file formats
Familiarity with mail equipment and sorting mail
Familiarity with velobind binding and comb binding equipment
Familiarity with internal and external office moves
Willingness to perform other tasks, duties, or functions as needed
Flexibility to work overtime
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
At least 2 years of related experience required
Experience working with multi-functional printers or scanners
Experience working with PDF editing software (e.g., Kofax Power PDF), preferred but not required
Experience working with legal professionals in a law firm preferred, but not required
Physical Demands
Ability to ascend/descend stairs
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry or otherwise move objects weighing 50 pounds or more
Position Information
Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $47,000-$53,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
