The Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF), founded in 1987, is dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. FMF utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically, believing that feminists of all genders are the majority that must be empowered. Led by President Eleanor Smeal, FMF focuses on advancing legal, social, and political equality for women, countering backlash against women's advancement, and training young feminists for future leadership. Their initiatives include research, public policy development, grassroots organizing, and public education programs, while their sister organization engages in lobbying and direct political action for equality.
