Job description
The Florida House Democratic Campaign Committee is the political, campaign, and fundraising arm responsible for the operations of the Florida House Democratic Caucus. The House Democratic Leader Designate and their campaign committee oversee the FHDCC operations and its staff. Campaigns Director The Florida House Democratic Campaign Committee seeks a full-time Campaigns Director for the remainder of the 2026 election cycle. The Campaigns Director will be tasked with managing the campaign support program of incumbent protects and priority challenger candidates. They should expect to be deeply involved with day-to-day interfacing with program campaigns, primarily to support their fi eld and fundraising plans. The Campaigns Director will report directly to the Caucus Director. Responsibilities ● Day-to-day interfacing with program candidates and incumbents and their campaigns, predominantly on fi eld and fundraising program execution ● Providing report-outs to the Caucus Director on campaign updates of program campaigns and tracking performance metrics ○ Additionally, meeting weekly with program candidates and their teams to provide program updates from the FHDCC ● Assisting program campaigns with their fi eld plans and helping them build realistic but rigorous individual candidate and volunteer team door-knocking goals ● Training program candidates, incumbents, and campaign teams in VAN usage as needed ● Assisting the Caucus Director and Senior Advisor with the implementation and tracking of political program spending ○ Tracking program campaigns’ COH and budget gaps ○ Working in tandem with the Caucus Director and Senior Advisor in tracking FHDCC program expenditures, cash fl ow, and budget gaps for program campaigns ● Assisting the FHDCC team and program campaigns with reviewing and responding to polling ● Being deployed to individual districts and events as a representative of the FHDCC to assist program campaigns on the ground ● Being available day-to-day to program candidates to rapidly respond in real time to sudden challenges and ever-changing political dynamics ● Supporting program candidates and incumbents with their individual campaign fundraising goals to ensure they are meeting their weekly, monthly, and quarterly fundraising goals and being held accountable to a rigorous call time schedule ● Assisting with program candidate and incumbent call time staffi ng as needed ● Reporting weekly to the Caucus Director, Senior Advisor, and Leader Designate Skills and Qualifications ● One to two election cycles (2-4 years) of experience in political campaigns ● At least one cycle of campaign management experiment ● Willingness to gain experience and deep knowledge of Florida’s: ○ Political landscape ○ FHDCC program “map” of priority campaigns ○ Campaign Finance Law ○ Political Committees ○ Lobby Corp ● Strong understanding and knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets use ● Proficient in NGP-VAN, MiniVAN, and ActBlue ● Ability to rapidly respond to the day-to-day needs of program campaigns and the Caucus Director ● Ability to assist with managing budgets, fi nance plans, and cash fl ow projections and tracking ● Ability to maintain a fl exible schedule, including frequent statewide travel for on-the-ground program campaign needs and FHDCC events Salary and Benefits Salary commensurate with experience, with a minimum monthly salary of $6,000. The FHDCC provides health, dental, vision, and life insurance at no cost to the employee. The FHDCC is dedicated to a strong work environment that includes paid time off. Employees are paid on the 5th and the 20th of the month.
