BACKGROUND

Florida Rising is a people-powered organization made up of members advancing economic and racial justice across Florida. Every individual has power but we have more power together.

The Florida Rising Together is the non-partisan arm of Florida Rising, working to educate, register and mobilize voters in Florida to ensure a more diverse, politically savvy and empowered electorate.

OPPORTUNITY

Canvassers are responsible for all voter registration application collection in the field for the organization. Canvassers will be responsible for the safe handling, return and completion of voter registration applications on a daily basis. We expect this person to be in person, outside and able to have conversations with community members face-to-face. This is a temporary, part time position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Voter Registration

● Complete Voter Registration laws and procedures onboarding

● Complete any and all Voter Registration Quality Control trainings

● Assist community members in completing voter registration and vote by mail applications in the field

● Support quality control process of organization

● Be positive representatives for Florida Rising Together in your community ● Adhere to organizations health, safety and voter registration guidelines and laws

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Ability to meet deadlines;

• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team;

• Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion.
