Location: Remote | Anywhere within the 48 contiguous United States
Starting Salary: $100,000

The role:
At FSG, Consultants are integral members of our consulting team. This is a generalist position and Consultants will be assigned to projects across FSG’s areas of expertise, working with our corporate and foundation clients.
Consultants are individual contributors responsible for collaborating effectively with their teams to deliver on client projects. Consultants often lead workstreams focused on conducting research, analyzing and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data, generating insights and recommendations, and communicating these recommendations to clients via material development and stakeholder engagement. When fully staffed, Consultants work on two client projects simultaneously in addition to contributing to firmwide activities ~10% of the time.

What you’ll do:
Roughly 90% of your time will be spent on client projects, working both autonomously and collaboratively as part of your case teams. Your work will include, but not be limited to, the following activities and expectations to create value for our clients and to advance equitable systems change:
Conduct Research, Perform Analysis, and Generate Insights
- Design effective research plans to answer key questions the client has
- Conduct comprehensive desk research and/or primary research (designing and conducting interviews; designing surveys)
- Synthesize research findings, and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Translate findings into meaningful client recommendations that are easy to understand
Develop Client Deliverables
- Develop structured and persuasive deliverables related to workstream by using stories, conceptual frameworks, and bringing in appropriate quantitative and qualitative data
- Create visually appealing and clear presentations in Powerpoint and written materials (e.g., reports, memos) in Word
- Write concisely and accurately
Interact with Clients and Stakeholders
- Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Deliver compelling and engaging presentations and facilitate small group discussions with clients or stakeholders
- Build relationships with clients as you help them to achieve their social impact goals
- Assist with logistics for planning external meetings and workshops

What you bring:
- 3+ years of professional experience (may include relevant experience as part of a graduate degree program) with transferable skills to role responsibilities above
- Demonstrated commitment to our mission of equitable social change; experience working in the social sector preferred
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to ~25% of the time
Competencies and skills you possess:
