At Giffords, we shift culture, change policy, and challenge injustice by fighting for the gun safety laws and programs proven to save lives. Giffords mobilizes lawmakers and the constituents they represent in support of lifesaving gun laws. We work to foster a culture where Americans are informed about what makes them safer and inspired to fight for a safer future. Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence researches, writes, enacts, and defends the laws, policies, and programs proven to reduce gun violence and save lives for nearly 25 years. Founded in the wake of the mass shooting at 101 California Street in San Francisco, our experts advocate for effective solutions.
