Grassroots Analytics (“GA”) maintains a detailed database on more than 20 million active American donors, including data on net worth, ideological preferences, political donation history, non-profit donation history, demographics, and contact information.
Role Overview:
Grassroots Analytics is seeking a Graphic Design intern who will play a pivotal role within our dynamic Marketing & Communications team. This position will collaborate closely with our full-time graphic designer to create compelling visual materials for both clients and our parent company.
This candidate should be a team player, able to multitask, and eager to learn. This position requires in-person office presence at our Chinatown, DC location for part or full-time work. The Graphic Design Intern will report to the Graphic Designer.
Responsibilities:
Branding
- Uphold and reinforce brand identity consistency across all materials.
Design
- Create graphics for marketing campaigns, social media platforms, and website content.
- Design and produce marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and other print and digital collateral.
- Create and enhance visual content for client presentations and reports.
Creative
- Collaborate cross-functionally to conceive innovative design concepts, graphics, and layouts.
Quality Control
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to enhance design quality and project success.
Team Collaboration
- Be able to think creatively and develop unique design concepts that align with the company's vision and goals.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.
- Possess excellent communication skills and be able to accept and give constructive feedback and suggestions team members regarding graphic design.
Internship Goals:
- Curate a comprehensive portfolio showcasing projects executed during your time at Grassroots Analytics.
- Cultivate professional relationships and potential mentorships with esteemed GA staff members.
- Learn and incorporate brand guidelines for media.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Enthusiasm for progressive politics, nonprofits, and meaningful causes.
- A strong desire to learn, coupled with the eagerness to make an immediate and impactful contribution.
$17.50 an hour part or full-time. Minimum 20 hour commitment between 8 am and 5 pm.
