The International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT) is seeking an Administrative Support Analyst to work in the Affiliate Compliance & Forensic Examiners Department at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Headquarters. Candidates must be available to work in-person full-time at our DC headquarters.

Position Description
Under the general supervision of the General Secretary-Treasurer’s Office or his/her designee(s), the Administrative Support Analyst provides administrative and research support in investigative matters concerning organizational standards and compliance subject to the Constitution of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as well as local union bylaws. Below are the primary responsibilities of this position:
- Conducts research in an assigned subject area, including formulating objectives and obtaining required information for preparation of reports.
- Determines the methods and procedures to be used for collecting data, including the development of data collection instruments and databases.
- Analyzes information and draws conclusions to make appropriate recommendations based on the results of the research, presenting results in a logical sequence.
- Collects information from various reference resources and consults with experts in various fields of knowledge.
- Creates association charts, timelines, and target lists to assist Forensic Examiners.
- Assists investigations in providing pertinent information to assist the General Secretary-Treasurer’s Office in matters of organizational necessity.
- Gives presentations, trainings, and briefings to diverse audiences, in person or via telecommunications.
- Performs related administrative duties, to include IBT-related travel documents, supporting investigators while on assignment or as otherwise prescribed.
- Prepares written reports of research findings including charts, graphs, and tables.
- Manages and prioritizes multiple requests for information and service.
- Documents work and maintains accurate, detailed records.
- Exercises discretion in handling confidential information and uses sound judgment when possessing and disseminating sensitive information.
- Adheres to all department and organizational policies and procedures.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as related to the position or assigned by the General Secretary-Treasurer’s Office, or designee.
Experience and Qualifications
Successful applicants will have the experience and qualifications listed below:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required.
- Active credential as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in research, data analysis, compliance, records management, or program administration.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in an administrative capacity required.
- Demonstrated advanced skills in using Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Concur expense reporting.
- Must have the ability to manage several assignments at one time.
- Demonstrated emotional maturity to function in stressful situations.
- Familiarity with the forensic examining process, including the ability to identify relevant information to substantiate alleged violations.
- Familiarity with union bylaws & procedures preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00. The IBT offers a robust benefits package including a 100% employer-paid health and welfare plan, vacation and sick leave, a pension, FICA reimbursement (i.e., reimbursement of all Medicare and Social Security taxes), and a 401(k) option.
The Teamsters headquarters building offers all employees access to a subsidized cafeteria, two onsite gyms, and protected bike parking. The building is only a 10-minute walk from Union Station in Washington, DC. Personal vehicle parking is not provided but paid garages are nearby.
