Position Title: J Street U Design and Social Media Fellow

Reports to: J Street U Operations and Programming Coordinator

Location: Washington, DC, remote or hybrid

Internship Duration: June-August 2025 (8 weeks total)

Hours: 20 hours per week,

Pay: $18 per hour

The Position

J Street U is seeking a college student or recent graduate to serve as a Design and Social Media Fellow. Successful applicant will work with the Communications and J Street U teams to develop compelling original social media content for J Street U.

Responsibilities may include

  • Conceiving of and designing social media content including graphics and short form video.
  • Designing templates for use by J Street U national and chapter social media.
  • Contributing to the J Street U brand kit and style guide.
  • Developing design and social media related training materials for use by J Street U student leaders.
  • Attending communications team meetings and working to coordinate social media content and strategy across teams.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with graphic design platforms like Canva, PhotoShop, or Adobe Illustrator
  • Background or interest in professional social media
  • Interest in or knowledge of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and pro-peace student organizing

Compensation and Time Commitment

The fellowship is a part time, 20 hour per week time commitment. It pays $18 per hour.
