About the Role
J Street is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Events Coordinator to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting the successful planning and execution of national programs and other marquee events - including our National Convention, Leadership Summits, Student Leadership Summits, and other regional programming.
Working under the supervision of the Director of Events, the Events Coordinator will assist in managing the logistics and data infrastructure that underpin J Street’s high-impact events. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who enjoys event and project planning, working cross functionally, and enjoys working on a high functioning and knowledgeable team. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow within an event or project management career while advancing progressive advocacy in their everyday work.
Key Responsibilities
Event & Program Logistics
- Support the planning and execution of large-scale national events including liaising with venues and vendors, compiling rooming lists, organizing programming information, and coordinating day-of logistics.
- Provide day-of event support including staffing, troubleshooting, and attendee services.
- Serve as the key logistics contact for J Street’s student programming by collaborating with the J Street U team on their annual Student Leadership Summit and various regional programming and speaker tours throughout the year.
- Provide support for other key events, including end-of-year fundraising events, VIP speaker tours, J Street Policy Center Events, and J Street PAC events as needed.
Project Coordination
- Assist in managing multi-departmental event planning processes from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans and timelines in collaboration with internal teams and meeting the deadlines associated with each event.
Data Management
- Build and manage event registration forms using Eventbrite and help maintain accurate event data in internal databases in Salesforce
- Track and manage event data metrics, including registration data, housing, speaker databases, travel and budget spreadsheets.
- Assist in improving systems for collecting and analyzing events-related data.
- Track event attendance, gather feedback, and support post-event evaluations.
Administrative Support

- Provide general administrative and logistical support to the Events team, as well as other teams across the organization as it related to events, programming and logistics.
Required Qualifications, Characteristics and Skills

- Experience (paid or volunteer) in event planning and/or project coordination
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities efficiently.
- Strong data skills and an interest in data organization and systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relational and able to work with many different types of people
- A passion for organization, problem solving, and logistics.
- Comfort working across teams and balancing cross-departmental needs.
- A genuine desire to support others with a service-oriented mindset and to contribute in a thoughtful, behind-the-scenes way.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.

- Alignment with and interest in J Street’s mission and issue areas, including U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Nice to Haves

- Experience managing data sets and an understanding of how to present data to a variety of different stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge of the Middle East and the the US relationship with Israel, Palestinians, the broader Arab world and international partners and/or an understanding of the different think tanks, journalists, policy makers, politicians, and activists who work on this issue
- Familiarity with GSuite, Salesforce and Eventbrite is a plus.
- Experience with virtual event platforms, and basic A/V tech.

J Street is the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy Americans working for the future of Israel as the democratic homeland of the Jewish people. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this full-time non-exempt position is $55,000-$60,000. Per J Street's Collective Bargaining Agreement, pay and title are commensurate with experience and according to pay bands outlined in our CBA. J Street recognizes a staff bargaining unit affiliated with IFPTE Local 70, a union for non-profit workers. This position is included in J Street’s bargaining unit and is covered under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.

Location and On-Site Work Needs
This position is based in Washington, DC and may be performed on a hybrid schedule or primarily in-office, depending on the candidate’s preference. Regardless of schedule, the role requires in-person attendance at key national events and occasional travel (up to twice per year) for multi-day programs.
Physical Requirements
This position may involve moderate physical activity, including lifting and carrying boxes or materials, standing for extended periods during events or load-out, and assisting with setup or breakdown of event spaces. While these tasks are not constant, they may occur regularly as part of essential duties.
