Job Description
Rep. Lindsey Prather’s campaign for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives is hiring a Field Director to manage voter contact and volunteer recruitment efforts in NC House District 115. This is a temporary full-time position through November 2024.
**Responsibilities will include: **
- Recruiting, training, and mobilizing groups of volunteers on voter contact methods such as canvassing, voter registration, and phone banking.
- Planning and executing organizing actions, events, and trainings.
- Developing relationships with Democratic activists in the community and engaging them in field and virtual events and activities.
- Ensuring all voter contact and volunteer engagement data is tracked in VAN and updated daily.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Desired Skills and Qualifications: **
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have your own reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
- Previous campaign or political experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with VAN, Mobilize, and other field organizing tools preferred.
- Buncombe County / Western NC ties preferred.
**Compensation and Working Conditions: **
- The salary for this position is $4,000/month, plus employer-paid benefits through November 30th, 2024.
- Position starts May 1st. Work hours will vary and include weekends.
