Job Description

**Dr. Danny Avula’s campaign for Mayor of Richmond is seeking a Field Director!**
Our ideal candidate is committed to building an inclusive program and leading a team that fosters creativity and teamwork. The Field Director should be positive, solutions-oriented, and capable of motivating a diverse staff.
Responsibilities Include
- Hire, train, and manage a diverse and talented organizing staff and interns to mobilize volunteers and voters

- Develop a thoughtful field plan that implements systems and structures to lead Organizers to successfully meet daily and weekly goals, as well as maintains data integrity

- Build and maintain relationships with local political leaders and stakeholders to cultivate buy-in to the campaign

- Commitment to continued learning and professional development of all organizing staff

- Lead by example, the Field Director will be accountable for their own weekly metrics including voter outreach

**Required Qualifications**
- Ability to work long days with irregular hours.

- Metrics-oriented attitude and track record of managing for results through ambitious goal setting and accountability

- Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and build community

- Experience with campaign tools such as Votebuilder and Mobilize

- Willingness to work “campaign hours”, including nights and weekends

- Must have access to a vehicle, computer, a cell phone.

- Candidates who don’t already live in Richmond, will be expected to relocate

This position will report directly to the Campaign Manager and will work closely with the candidate.The salary for this role is 4,500 per month and will continue to November, with the potential for a run off in December. The expected (but flexible) start date is May 15th.
