Job Description

Only One is a global not-for-profit organization that serves as the advocacy platform for the ocean. In 2024, the organization had 24 FTEs and an operating budget of $9 million. Only One leads public campaigns leveraging communications and organizing to put the necessary pressure on decision-makers and catalyze ocean impact. As campaign managers, we advance critical policies and narratives, and our digital tools connect activists with simple yet effective ways to take action. By building global movements, we support the conservation sector in creating meaningful change for marine life, the climate, and the communities most affected by threats to the planet.

**ABOUT THE SENIOR CAMPAIGN MANAGER ROLE:**
Only One is seeking a Senior Campaign Manager who is passionate about Only One’s mission. The Senior Campaign Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing advocacy campaigns to protect wildlife, stop plastics, and heal the ocean. This role involves strategic planning, relationship management, and close collaboration with multiple departments. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and a great writer, who is committed to environmental justice and thrives in collaborative work

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**Campaign Management**
- Develop strategy for campaign initiatives and supporter activations.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all campaign activities, with attention to detail, timing, and budget. Lead development of supporter communications for all necessary campaign updates, with a heavy emphasis on written materials (including emails and petitions)
- Support campaign research, including power mapping and landscape analyses
**Stakeholder Collaboration**
- Project manage other departments, including Marketing, Product Development, Video Production, and Operations, in the design and execution of effective campaign tactics and strategies.
- Build and manage relationships with partners across the ocean and climate space.
**Performance and Data Analysis**
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance and make adjustments as necessary.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on campaign results to Leadership and stakeholders.
- Effectively plan ad campaigns and spend, and approve ad campaigns in conjunction with vendors/consultants.
- Build dashboards, monitor, and report on campaign performance metrics to help inform strategic and creative decision making.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:**

- Strong teamwork and project management skills.
- Outstanding writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using CRM software and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to analyze data and derive meaningful insights.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in the areas of advocacy, organizing, communications, and/or public policy.
- Knowledge and/or experience in EU policy.

**Additional Skill Sets A Plus**
- Fluency in French, German, Spanish, Dutch, or other EU official languages.

**LOCATION**
This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work remotely, or in a hybrid capacity out of our New York office if centrally located.
