Job Description

**Background:** Floridians Protecting Freedom (FPF) is a statewide campaign of allied organizations and concerned citizens working together to protect Floridians’ access to reproductive health care and defend the right to bodily autonomy.

This campaign is focused on winning Amendment 4, the campaign to remove politicians from private medical decisions around abortion. From March to November 2024, the campaign will focus on raising money, earning media, mobilizing voters, building coalitions, and securing 60%+ support at the polls.

Candidates should have successful experience working on organizing effort with statewide or local candidate campaigns or with issue advocacy campaigns.
The Treasure Coast Organizing Manager reports to the Deputy Organizing Director of Floridians Protecting Freedom.

**Job Description:**

The Treasure Coast Organizing Manager for the Floridians Protecting Freedom Ballot Campaign is responsible for implementing statewide grassroots organizing programs focused on youth voters. designed to support the campaign's goal of passing a constitutional amendment protecting the right to abortion in the state of Florida. The Treasure Coast Florida Organizing Manager will work with the campaign’s Deputy Organizing Director to oversee and coordinate a team of Treasure Coast volunteers and supporters to mobilize communities, raise awareness, and foster public support for the campaign.

Key Responsibilities:

Grassroots Mobilization:
- Implement local strategic plans with volunteers and voters to achieve campaign objectives, including meeting metrics goals for community events, voter contact, and public education.
- Organize and lead community events, rallies, meetings, and other public gatherings to raise awareness about the campaign's mission with voters
- Build relationships with partner organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders to maximize collective impact.
- Meet campaign metrics for organizing efforts and volunteer engagement.

Coalition Management:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local partner organizations and allied organizers
- Collaborating with local coalition members to develop joint strategies, coordinate actions, and leverage collective resources.
- Facilitating regular communication and coordination among local coalition members dedicated to voting efforts.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in grassroots organizing, with a focus on local or electoral organizing.
- Strong understanding of reproductive rights and familiarity with the Reproductive Justice movement is highly preferred.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing a diverse team of volunteers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking, campaign messaging, and report writing.
- Proficient in utilizing organizing and communication software, including CRM systems, digital organizing tools, and social media platforms.
- Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing campaign needs.
- Knowledge of Florida's political landscape.

**Compensation:**
- Salary of $5,000 per month
- A health insurance stipend will be provided.
- Technology and travel stipends will be provided as needed.

**Additional Requirements:**
- This is a full-time position. The position is based in Florida and is remote, within the state.
- Must have personal transportation and be able to travel around Florida as needed.
- Must be able to work on nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to hold this position through November 30th, 2024.
