Job Description

### **About the Program:**
Ahead of the 2024 elections, Movement Labs is launching a political tactic incubator with unprecedented ambition. Our goal is to explore, analyze, and scale innovative strategies that persuade, mobilize, and register voters to counteract Trump's influence. We are committed to investing millions in successful initiatives, focusing on new organizing programs and turnout tactics. These efforts will target low-turnout, high-opportunity voters in marginalized communities, persuade Republican voters toward President Biden, and enhance voter registration efforts. The objective is to garner 50,000 votes for Biden ahead of the November Election.

### **About the Role**
Movement labs is hiring for the role of Digital Director for the 2024 cycle. This role is a mission critical position for our Political Innovation Incubator - it leads execution for any political innovation idea that involves implementing any digital paid media.
This role will be responsible for moving dozens of ideas through the process of vetting, scoping and project planning and piloting them to assess if they have the potential to net over 1000 votes across the seven battleground states. If pilots are successful, work includes scaling those ideas up ahead of the 2024 election. This role will report to and work closely with the VP of Political Innovation.
This role will oversee several pilot projects. One example: Online Voter Registration - targeting different unregistered universes with digital ads to see if they’re more likely to register to vote if we send them to the government’s online voter registration site versus sending them to our Movement Labs registration portal. This role will be responsible for quickly testing the effectiveness and feasibility of such programs and then scaling up those that prove most effective.
### **Responsibilities**
- Experiment Scoping and Execution: Lead the end-to-end development and execution of experiments to ensure projects are completed on time and satisfy research objectives.
- Digital Asset Creation: Work with the team to ideate and create digital ad copy and design assets for the campaigns. Utilize AI tools and resources to create assets. Manage and consult with a digital agency or contractor on asset creation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments within Movement Labs, – including Research, Operations, and external-facing teams – to effectively scope new experiment ideas and effectively enroll them in implementation work as needed.
- Digital Campaign Management: Set up, manage, and optimize digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, with a strong focus on maximizing reach within targeted voter segments and preserving the integrity of experiments.
- Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with creative agency/contractor and other external vendors or consultants, establishing clear expectations to ensure timely delivery of campaign assets/services.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to inform strategies and make adjustments to campaigns in real time to enhance effectiveness.
- Reporting & Systems: Create all campaign tracking systems and regularly report out on campaign performance and experimental results to organization’s leadership, offering insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
## **Requirements**
- Cycle Experience: At least two cycles of experience in a digital role on a campaign or digital agency, preferably within or on behalf of a political, advocacy, or nonprofit organization.
- Digital Tactics Experience: Have worked with a variety of digital tactics including: Display Ads, Search Engine Ads, Native Ads, Email Targeting, Influencer Marketing, Meta Ads Manager
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically to overcome challenges and achieve campaign objectives.
- Proven Problem Solving: Ability to think creatively and strategically to get a project executed, including trying novel and new tactics and an ability to seek expert input.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
- Agency Management: Demonstrated ability working with creative agencies or graphic designers, including the ability to write effective creative briefs and provide actionable feedback on creative deliverables to ensure creative assets are aligned with research goals.
- Testing Experience: Familiarity with randomized control trials, A/B testing tools and opinion research/polling.
## **Benefits**
