Job Description
**About the Campaign:**
Joey Atkins for Congress is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Political Finance Director to join our dynamic team. Our campaign is dedicated to advancing [specific policy goals/issues], and we are committed to running a transparent, efficient, and effective operation.
**Position Overview:**
The Political Finance Director will be responsible for developing and executing the campaign’s fundraising strategy. This includes identifying and cultivating donor relationships, managing fundraising events, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local fundraising regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in political fundraising, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising goals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Fundraising Strategy:** Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to meet campaign goals.
- **Donor Cultivation:** Identify, solicit, and cultivate relationships with individual donors, political action committees (PACs), and other funding sources.
- **Event Management:** Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including receptions, dinners, and online campaigns.
- **Compliance:** Ensure all fundraising activities comply with FEC regulations and state and local laws. Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports.
- **Database Management:** Oversee the maintenance of donor databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- **Collaboration:** Work closely with the Campaign Manager and other team members to align fundraising efforts with overall campaign strategy.
- **Communications:** Develop and distribute fundraising communications, including emails, newsletters, and social media content.
- **Budgeting:** Assist in the development of the campaign budget and monitor fundraising expenditures.
**Qualifications:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of one to two cycles years of experience in political fundraising or a related field.
- **Skills:**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and databases (e.g., NGP VAN, ActBlue).
- Knowledge of FEC regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- **Attributes:**
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
