Job Description
**RuralOrganizing.org seeks dynamic Regional Field Managers to administer a robust paid direct voter contact program in Ohio for the 2024 election cycle. These positions will involve direct supervision of Field Organizers and volunteers, as RuralOrganizing.org advocates for Progressive Candidates and Ballot Measures in the state.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
· Hire, train, and manage a team of Field Organizers across multiple counties.
· Set realistic organizer goals for direct voter contact and volunteer engagement, and coach and manage organizers to meet and exceed organizing goals.
· Mentor Field Organizers and adjust campaign tactics to reflect the reality of the communities you are assigned to.
· Lead in volunteer “Days Of Action” with progressive groups and activists in assigned areas.
· Other duties as needed by the State Director to support the election cycle.
**Qualifications and Desirables:**
· Experience training, supporting, and managing staff in an electoral or issue advocacy campaign. Candidates with rural organizing experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
· Proficiency using VAN and other field organizing tools, including predictive dialers, peer-to-peer texting platforms, Mobilize, etc.
· At least one cycle of paid political campaign experience required.
· Willingness to learn HR best practices for managing large scale paid voter contact programs.
· Strong organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Goals-oriented and self-disciplined; able to meet tight deadlines and multitask.
· Must possess a working computer/laptop, smart phone, and a valid driver's license along with reliable access to a car.
· Ability to work campaign hours including evenings and weekends, and willing to be flexible as responsibilities grow over time.
· Strong commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
· Applicants must be willing to live in or move to the region.
