Job Description
The Altman for Congress campaign is looking for a passionate Finance Assistant or Deputy Finance Director to help grow our robust finance program in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District. **This is one of the top Red-to-Blue races in the country and will help determine the House majority. **This is a full-time position with an expected start date in early July.
**_QUALIFICATIONS_**
- At least 1 cycle of campaign finance experience for the Deputy Finance Director position.
- 1 cycle of campaign experience as a staffer or intern preferred but not required for the Finance Assistant position.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with an interest in campaign fundraising.
- Experience with NGP preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and platforms.
- Ability to exercise discretion and sound political judgment.
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate cultural competency and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as cross-cultural skills.
- Proven interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships with staff at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Willingness to relocate to the district.
- Reliable transportation, cell phone, and computer.
**_RESPONSIBILITIES_**
- Work with Finance Director and the broader finance team to execute a full-scale fundraising program.
- Manage the in-state events program, including coordinating hosts and preparing memos for each event.
- Staff all fundraising events.
- Compile briefings for donor meetings.
- Assist with call time when necessary, including staffing the candidate and completing necessary follow up.
- Research donor prospects, both statewide and nationally.
- Provide support for campaign interns and Finance Assistant.
- Other responsibilities, as required.
**_COMPENSATION & BENEFITS_**
- Salary: $4,000-$5,000, commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: Healthcare stipend available.
