Job Description
We are seeking passionate and community-orientated fellows to support the Michigan Coordinated Campaign. As an Organizing Fellow, you will play a necessary role during critical periods to support grassroots organizing efforts in key communities throughout Michigan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in political organizing, develop valuable skills, and make a tangible impact in the 2024 election.
**Responsibilities:**
- Support the organizing department in community outreach and volunteer recruitment.
- Participate in door-to-door canvassing and phone banking efforts.
- Assist in the execution of campaign events, rallies, and town hall meetings.
- Assist in collecting and inputting data from voter interactions into campaign databases, track volunteer activities, and provide regular reports on organizing efforts and outcomes.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong passion for progressive politics and a commitment to social and economic justice.
- Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, dynamic campaign environment and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Google Suite.
**Compensation:**
The duration of the fellowship program ranges from 10 to 12 weeks. Fellows are compensated with a stipend dispersed on the 15th and last day of the month. Compensation rates are as follows:
- 30 hours per week – $5,400
- 20 hours per week- $3,600
- 10 hours per week – $1,800
