Job Description

PIVOT is seeking fellows to be a part of our 16-week fellowship program from July 2024 - November 2024. This program is designed to increase civic engagement within Asian American and Pacific Islander communities and more specifically, Vietnamese American communities. It is also designed to build leadership and experience for those interested in politics, public policy, and government. Our goal is to build a pipeline of more Vietnamese American leaders in politics.

We are seeking to identify and select PIVOT Fellows to work on the 2024 midterm elections in the following states: Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Michigan. Fellows will work on a part-time basis up to 20 hours per week with a local non-profit on voter engagement, primarily with Vietnamese and other Asian American populations.

**Responsibilities may include but not limited to:**
\- Outreach at community events
\- Mailers and other printer outreach activities
\- Digital outreach including texting and mobile apps
\- Coordinating volunteers for door knocking or lit drops (if possible)
\- Provide cultural and other expertise to other organizations

**Requirements**:
\- At least 18 years of age
\- Current undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university
\- Experience with campaigns and knowledge of Vietnamese-American community preferred but not required
\- Strong interpersonal skills
\- Positive attitude and ability to motivate others
\- Computer or laptop with webcam capabilities
\- Ability to speak, read, or write in Vietnamese preferred, but not required
\- Valid Driver's License and/or access to reliable transportation
