Job Description
The 2024 North Carolina Democratic Coordinated Campaign is seeking a Deputy Data and Analytics Director. We are looking for a technical leader who can support various program areas and drive innovation within our Data and Analytics team.
The Deputy Data and Analytics Director will work closely with important stakeholders to support the coordinated campaign working to re-elect President Biden, Vice President Harris, and elect Democrats down the ballot. The Deputy will also have supervisory responsibilities, managing and providing instructive guidance to the Data and Analytics Associates. Candidates should be creative, solution-based thinkers with a passion for leveraging data and technology for good.
This position is located in Raleigh, North Carolina and requires in-person work. This is a full time temporary position through the 2024 election cycle.
**Job Description**
- Collaborate with various program areas to discover data and analytics needs and address them using innovative solutions; manage and oversee data onboardings and staff development for organizing staff in the coordinated campaign
- Work with stakeholders to build reports and tools for the NC Coordinated Campaign team in line with key programmatic priorities
- Help manage and provide guidance to a growing team
- Maintain and promote data standards to ensure proper data capture and hygiene
- Develop and present training materials on various tools and systems
- Develop processes for sourcing, prioritizing, and resolving data support requests from
stakeholders and partners
- Present insights and data-informed recommendations to help guide the direction of the
campaign
**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**
- Previous campaign experience, especially in a data and analytics capacity
- Knowledge of programming languages and software, like SQL, R, Python, and Sheets
- Proficiency with Voterbuilder
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with others
- Desire to ask questions, receive constructive feedback, and grow as a professional
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in working with staff and other partners
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Capacity and desire to work long hours in a campaign setting
**Salary and Benefits**
The pay range is $7,000 to $7,500 per month commensurate with experience.
All full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, 100% covered by NCDP. This includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Benefits become active on your first day of employment. Employees can add partners and dependents to health benefits but are responsible for covering the additional cost. Full-time employees also receive unlimited paid time off on an as needed basis subject to employer approval, two floating holidays, and paid holidays.
This is not a CWG bargaining unit position.
