Job Description

Democratic State Senator Iwen Chu (NY-17) is hiring an organizer for her 2024 reelection campaign. The South Brooklyn district includes Bensonhurst, Sunset Park, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach, and parts of Kensington, and has a large Chinese-speaking constituency. The organizer will spearhead volunteer recruitment and voter engagement, and will work with individual volunteers, community groups, and unions.

Responsibilities:
- Engage in direct voter contact through door-to-door canvassing, high-traffic canvassing, phone calls, and relational outreach if applicable
- Register constituents to vote, engage them on the issues, and make detailed voting plans with voters en masse during Get Out the Vote.
- Recruit, train and manage volunteers engaging in canvassing, phone banking and peer-to-peer (relational) outreach
- Hit and exceed weekly/daily numerical performance goals
- Regularly and faithfully record data daily in campaign databases
- Other duties as assigned

- Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
- Fluency in Mandarin and a working knowledge of WeChat/Weixin strongly preferred
- Current driver’s license and access to a vehicle is a plus
