JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Campaign Manager to lead Devon's dual campaign efforts for Position 6 on the McKenzie School District #68 School Board in Finn Rock, Oregon, and Position 6 (at-large) for the Lane Education Service District Board of Directors in Lane County, OR. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the campaign, including strategy development, operations, finance, and communications. This role is central to achieving our goal of winning both elections by at least a 60% margin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive campaign strategy that encompasses both races.

  • Manage the campaign budget, ensuring all expenditures are strategic and within financial limits.

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of campaign staff and volunteers.

  • Coordinate with the Finance Director to set fundraising goals, strategies, and events.

  • Work closely with the Communications Director to craft a compelling campaign message and manage media relations.

  • Liaise with the Digital Director to maximize online presence and engagement.

  • Organize and attend campaign events, fostering community support and visibility.

  • Analyze polling data and adapt campaign strategies as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal election laws and regulations.

Requirements & Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Marketing, or related field. (Preferred, but if you have the experience needed, a degree is only a +) Advanced degrees preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in campaign management OR a senior campaign role, with a proven track record of success.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team under challenging conditions.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of campaign strategy, voter outreach, digital campaigning, and fundraising.

  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

  • Familiarity with the educational policy landscape in Oregon is a plus.
