Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in the development and
execution of all elements of the Coordinated Campaign’s 2024 organizing and direct
voter contact plan. This person will help to build and manage a statewide organizing
infrastructure and will play a critical role in the efforts to win significant victories for
Democrats up and down the ballot.
A strong candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to hire and manage
a large and diverse organizing team, develop and execute a data-driven organizing
program, and collaborate with key principals, organizations, and stakeholders around
the state. This position reports to the Coordinated Campaign Organizing Director.
Responsibilities:
● Work with the Coordinated Campaign Organizing Director and key
stakeholders to develop and implement the 2024 Texas Coordinated
Campaign direct voter contact plan.
● Assist in the day-to-day operations for the Coordinated Campaign’s organizing
team.
● Help to hire and train Coordinated Campaign organizing staff, as well as the
day-to-day management of regional organizing directors, and other direct
reports.
● Create systems to track and analyze the data and metrics of the organizing
program, and make changes as needed.
● Provide stakeholders and partners regular updates on the progress of the
Coordinated Campaign, and work with partners and organizations across the
state to create additional capacity for the organizing team.
● Other duties as assigned by the Coordinated Campaign Organizing Director.
Preferred Qualifications:
● At least two cycles of organizing experience, including experience managing
organizers.
● Ideal candidate should have experience managing political
stakeholder/partners and building collaborative programs.
● Experience recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring and managing a team of
paid staff and volunteers preferred.
● Must be a strong leader able to inspire and motivate staff and campaigns, as
well as work collaboratively with peers, direct reports, and stakeholders.
● A strong and demonstrated commitment to building a diverse and inclusive
team.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proficiency in VAN, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs;
● Reliable transportation is required for frequent travel up and down the state.
Salary And Benefits: Salary range is $6,000 - $6,500 per month depending on
_experience. _The Texas Democratic Party offers medical, vision, and dental insurance.
Employee’s insurance premiums are paid fully by TDP. ** This is a cycle-only position.**
Location: This is an in-person position based in Texas. This role will require statewide
travel.
