JOB DESCRIPTION

Dr. Kim Schrier for Congress (WA-08) is seeking an experienced Organizing Director to work on a competitive Frontline congressional race for the 2024 cycle. The Organizing Director will work closely with the Campaign Manager and senior staff to direct day-to-day organizing operations. They are responsible for planning and executing the field program and GOTV, managing field staff, and are accountable for all quantitative and qualitative organizing metric reports.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the Campaign Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive field program to turn out voters in the primary and general election;

  • Develop strong relationships with local party leaders, legislative districts, and grassroots organizers;

  • Hire, train, and manage a team of organizers to build a strong volunteer program, conduct voter contact, and host events;

  • Share qualitative and quantitative reporting to the campaign team on a regular basis;

  • Build systems and structures to lead the field team to meet daily, weekly, and phase goals for capacity building and voter contact, as well as maintaining data integrity.

Requirements:

  • 2+ cycles of campaign organizing experience, including 1 cycle of staff management experience.

  • Prior experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers on electoral or issue campaigns in a paid staff capacity is required.

  • Proficiency in VAN or PDI, Google Docs, and MobilizeAmerica.

  • Familiarity with peer-to-peer texting, relational, and dialer tools.

  • Experience developing, training, and empowering volunteers.

  • Strong ability to build relationships and foster a positive team culture.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure and problem-solve effectively and creatively.

  • Access to a vehicle or other, reliable means of transportation.
