Compensation:_ $4,000-$5,000/month, full-time, commensurate with experience_

NYC Council Member Shahana Hanif is seeking a full-time Field Director to develop and lead a dynamic, data-driven field program for her 2025 City Council campaign in Brooklyn’s 39th District. This position offers the opportunity to play a central role in developing a winning strategy for an impactful grassroots campaign. The ideal candidate will have experience running field operations, familiarity with New York City politics, and a deep understanding of the issues that matter to local communities. Experience in Brooklyn’s 39th District is a plus. Candidates should be prepared to start full-time in January 2025, with the role continuing through the primary in late June and the possibility of extending through November 2025.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive voter contact strategy in collaboration with the Campaign Manager and consultants.

• Lead voter identification, petitioning, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts.

• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and interns.

• Cut turf in VAN to support effective outreach.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in VAN. including the ability to cut complex universes and manage data effectively.

• At least one full cycle of experience as a Field Organizer, Regional Field Director, or Field Director.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous campaign experience in New York City.

• Proficiency in Reach, Spoke Text/ThruText, and ThruTalk/CallHub.

• Fluency in Bangla or Spanish is a plus.

Location: Hybrid — remote and in-person in the neighborhoods of Brooklyn’s 39th District.
