JOB DESCRIPTION

Mikie Sherrill for Governor is seeking a Photographer / Videographer to join our campaign digital team. This role will be the primary on-the-road staffer and will be responsible not only for content capture, but also video editing and graphic design.

An ideal candidate will possess a passion for Democratic politics, a keen eye for design and aesthetic, and will be able to pitch creative and unique ideas to the team.

They must be able to learn on their feet and juggle multiple projects on tight timelines. This role will often be on the road capturing content at campaign events and working closely with team members from other departments.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photo and video content at events with Mikie Sherrill

• Create varied content for social channels, including X, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, and Youtube

• Fulfill the campaign’s graphic design needs

• Work closely with other members of the Digital team to manage the content calendar and identify opportunities to amplify the candidate’s message

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

• Experience in photography and videography

• Familiarity with internet culture and the ability to spot applicable trends — and spot the ones to stay away from

• Possession of a car, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel

• The ability and desire to work closely with a team and communicate effectively amid changing conditions

• Willingness to work long and irregular campaign hours, including some nights and weekends

This is a full-time role based in ** Bloomfield, NJ. **The start date is March 1st, 2025. New Jersey ties preferred but not required.
