About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly organized Campaign Manager to lead a competitive primary race in one of New Jersey’s most high-profile districts. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in political campaigns, particularly in urban settings, and demonstrate strong fundraising capabilities. This role demands a proactive leader who can manage a fast-paced, high-pressure campaign environment while building coalitions, overseeing staff, and ensuring the candidate’s message reaches and resonates with voters.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive campaign strategy, including voter outreach, communications, and fundraising plans.

Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate campaign staff, volunteers, and consultants, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

Fundraising: Lead fundraising efforts, including donor outreach, event planning, and finance reporting, ensuring the campaign meets its financial goals.

Communications: Oversee messaging, media relations, and digital outreach to ensure a consistent and compelling narrative across all platforms.

Field Operations: Implement effective voter contact strategies, including canvassing, phone banking, and event coordination.

Data & Compliance: Utilize voter data and analytics to inform strategy and ensure compliance with all legal and financial reporting requirements.

Candidate Support: Serve as the primary advisor to the candidate, providing strategic counsel and preparing for public appearances and debates.
Qualifications:

Proven experience managing at least one political campaign in an urban district.

Strong background in fundraising with a demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding financial goals.

Exceptional organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in campaign technology, including voter databases (e.g., VAN), digital tools, and social media platforms.

Deep understanding of New Jersey’s political landscape is a plus.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
