JOB DESCRIPTION
Ling Ye for New York City Council is seeking a Field Organizer for the New York City Primary Election. The Field Organizer will serve as one of the public faces of the campaign in their interactions with voters and volunteers. The Field Organizer will work under the Campaign Manager on the voter outreach program which will include (but is not limited to) petition signature collecting, voter ID, door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer training.

Recruit, train and manage volunteers for phone banking, canvassing and other voter outreach events.

Must be able to hit metric goals on a weekly and monthly basis and work well under pressure.

Build a strong understanding of the Council District

Organize volunteer events such as canvasses, phone banks, text banks, and relational programming

Estimated salary $3,400 - $3,600 a month
Job Requirements:

Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship)

Fluency in Spanish is required

Background in VoteBuilder and MiniVan

Full availability for the last 4 weeks before the Election is required

Ability to work long and unusual hours (some weekends and nights, especially leading up to the election)

Detail oriented and comfortable to work in fast paced environment

Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team

Access to a vehicle preferred but not required
