JOB DESCRIPTION

Shannon Taylor for Virginia is seeking a full-time Deputy Finance Director.

This position is through June 2025 with the opportunity to stay on through the November 2025 general election. Candidates must be highly organized, hard working, efficient, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast paced-environment. This position reports directly to the Finance Director. This position is based in Washington, D.C. or Richmond, VA.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

● Work with the Finance Director to identify potential donor prospects for the campaign, and work to develop new and existing relationships.

● Staff and help organize fundraising events, both in Virginia and nationally.

● Work directly with donors, organization leaders, and other key supporters to build events.

● Maintain regular contact and handle all follow-up correspondence and communication with event hosts, attendees, special guests, and other principals.

● Regularly staff the candidate at events and other campaign activities, as needed.

● Assist with all materials for meetings and events.

● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

● 1-2 years of campaign fundraising experience.

● Strong written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail.

● Flexibility to work on multiple projects at once.

● Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.

● Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed.

● Ability to travel regularly around the state, as needed.

Salary and Benefits:

● $5,000-6,000/month, commensurate with experience.
