Role Overview:
Democratic Candidates Katie Brennan and Ravi Bhalla are seeking a full-time Field Director to build and execute our volunteer field strategy as we sprint towards the June Democratic Primary.
Katie Brennan is a long time Jersey City resident, activist and housing policy expert. A trusted policy expert on housing, environmental justice, and protections for survivors of sexual assault, she has spent the last 15 years standing up to powerful interests and turning bold ideas into real results for working families. Both are running for New Jersey Assembly for the two seats in the 32nd district.
Responsibilities:

Work with the campaign manager and consultants to implement an aggressive field program in an urban area that utilizes traditional organizing and relational organizing.

Build and maintain relationships with local activists and community leaders across Hoboken and Jersey City

Manage and oversee field staff and volunteers

Develop a positive and inclusive team culture

Meet weekly and monthly field benchmarks
The ideal candidate is someone who:

Has 1 or more cycles as a Field Organizer or Regional Organizing Director in a competitive battleground state or congressional district

Has previously managed organizers, interns or fellows
-
Experienced in building and training successful, self-sufficient volunteer teams

Comfortable with Votebuilder with an understanding on how to cut turf, create call lists, make/use reports and understand scoring.

if you’ve worked in urban communities or have experience in New Jersey/ the Northeast

Spanish speaking, a plus but not required
