A young progressive borough-wide NYC candidate’s re-election campaign is looking for energetic, self-starting individuals to work as Field Organizers across Brooklyn.
In this role, you will have the opportunity, partnering with the Field Director, to develop innovative and scalable strategies to connect with NYC voters.
This position is in-person, and will require regular travel to various locations around NYC. This position will conclude at the end of June.
Responsibilities:

Engage deeply with the NYC’s communities, building deep relationships with local groups, elected officials, and activists;

Take ownership of volunteer identification, recruitment, and training in voter contact methods, including door-to-door canvassing, phonebanking, and relational organizing;

Ensure that volunteer and voter contact goals are met or exceeded throughout the duration of the campaign;

Use campaign software and technology, like VoteBuilder and Mobilize, to rigorously track and report data and activities;

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

A passion for connecting with others, and creating change through one on one conversations;

An ability to work both independently and as a trusted member of a team;

Reliable access to a phone and computer;

A willingness to travel substantially within your assigned areas;

Willingness to work weekends and evenings throughout the duration of the campaign;

Fluency in Spanish is strongly desired, but not a requirement
