**Location: **Remote
Union Position: This job is covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with the Washington-Baltimore News Guild, Local 32035
Salary Range: $67,000-$78,000
**Job Summary: **The Organizing Manager will be responsible for managing a community-based, volunteer-driven organizing program. This person will oversee the ECU volunteer pipeline, create and coordinate volunteer engagement and opportunities, and build relationships with key partners and stakeholders in our targeted states. This position is responsible for managing our organizing efforts that align with ECU’s national strategy. This position will report directly to the National Organizing Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage the development, implementation, and execution of the national organizing program

Support the organizing team’s strategic planning and project management

Recruiting ECU/LAV membership to become volunteers and volunteer leaders, provide coaching, support and resources to help volunteers and volunteer groups stay aligned with ECU priorities

Develop and expand the ECU Volunteer Training Program

Planning, recruiting for, and managing digital organizing events via Mobilize
-
Working across multiple departments to ensure coordination around events and opportunities

Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The ideal Organizing Manager candidate:
-
Has a strong interest in reforming our broken democracy and is committed to the diversity of our candidates, membership, partners, and staff

3-5 cycles of experience in field, distributed, or digital organizing at a political campaign or advocacy organization

Demonstrated experience and understanding of voter contact and organizing strategies and tools, with a plus for doing so in a distributed/remote setting

Experience with managing, empowering, and developing volunteers and volunteer leaders

Familiarity with Slack, Zoom, and Google Drive

STRONG written and verbal communication skills, specifically with public speaking and leading training sessions

Brings a sense of curiosity and creativity to the role
