Overview

Abundance is happening. Abundance Network has more demand than we can capture because we haven’t designed and built systems for scale. We are recruiting an executive to build and own our membership programs. The mandate is to grow from hundreds to thousands of donors and from millions to tens of millions in recurring annual contributions. Our core membership programs power Abundance Network’s vision to build a 21st century government via organizing civic leaders. Your role is critical to realizing this ambition.

Our team has helped build the YIMBY and state capacity movements over the past decade. We are looking for a leader with a track record of excellence in either (a) the public sector/non-profit space or (b) scaled startups who wants to use their experience building and operating teams to scale the Abundance movement.

This leader is driven, has a hands-on ownership mentality, is comfortable with ambiguity, and resonates with our values of humility, curiosity, and outcomes-focused.

Key Responsibilities

• Key leader that owns the revenue function of Abundance Network

• Designs the organization, systems, and experience of membership programs

• Owns key donor relationships

• Scales AN’s membership revenue from millions to tens of millions

Qualifications

Required

• Owned revenue function—has a track record in growing donor / membership / accounts with growth targets

• Has implemented scalable systems for managing 1,000+ relationships

• Has owned and stewarded key donor/account relationships

Preferred

• Leadership experience in a scaled startup

• Expertise in multi-entity fundraising & compliance (i.e. C3/C4)

• Leadership experience building/leading public sector, mission-driven organizations

• Experience designing & managing high-trust social networks

Eligibility

• Must be eligible to work in the US

• This is a full-time position, with a 2-3 day in-office requirement at our downtown San Francisco headquarters
