JOB DESCRIPTION

Democracy Fellowship

The Democracy Fellowship is an exclusive, action-oriented opportunity for young progressives ready to build power, create community, and redefine what leadership looks like in 21st-century America. The Democracy Fellowship is Dream for America’s leadership development program, designed to equip emerging student leaders with the tools, strategies, and community they need to organize on college campuses across the country.

After 6 biweekly Zoom calls, prospective chapter leaders will receive hands-on training in grassroots organizing, event planning, campus engagement, and narrative building. These sessions not only provide practical skills, but also foster a collaborative space where students connect with peers, share ideas, and grow as civic change makers.

Whether you're founding a new chapter or stepping into leadership for the first time, the Democracy Institute is your launchpad for driving student-led impact and advancing democratic values where they matter most—on the ground, on campus.

Qualifications:

High school seniors or college students (Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior)

Passionate about reframing and advancing progressive values on a national scale

Open-minded and unafraid to engage in thoughtful, sometimes challenging, political discussions

Responsibilities:

Participate in the Dream for America Democracy Institute, a dynamic training program where fellows gain hands-on experience in organizing, communications, and leadership.

Collaborate with a national network of like-minded youth activists committed to building a better future.

Launch and lead a local DFA chapter on your campus, facilitating events, campaigns, and educational initiatives to spark conversation and drive change.

Location: Fully Virtual
